  • OPTIONAL TRIP INSURANCE COVERAGE:

Considering trip insurance coverage is important because it provides financial protection and peace of mind for our travelers.  If you wish to insure your multi-day journey booked with Cornerstone Travel Group, consider the following guidelines:

    1) Why purchase it?  Once your FINAL payment is made (date specific on each journey), your monies are no longer refundable with Cornerstone Travel Group LLC.

    2) Is it worth it?  Some travelers may be comfortable with the non-refundable 45-60 day period after making final payment and prior to trip departure date. However, if you are wanting to secure your monies and travel investment, you may want to consider a trip cancellation policy.  Many policies may/do include Protection Against Cancellations (during non-refundable period) and Interruptions (after departure), Medical Coverage Abroad, Emergency Assistant Services, as well as Lost, Stolen or Delayed Baggage by airlines.

    3) How much is it?  Many plans are available and depend on how the length of your trip, your age and if you wish to choose coverage for "emergency medical cancellation" only OR "cancel for any reason".  We find that most plans are VERY affordable and even purchase them for our Hosts/Drivers on all journeys departures.

    4) How to purchase coverage?  Cornerstone Travel Group LLC does not sell trip cancellation policies.  However, we recommend several expert entities to help you.

    a) InsureMyTrip.com is an easy travel insurance comparison website that helps travelers find and purchase travel insurance plans from multiple providers. It allows users to compare coverage options, prices, and policy features to select the plan that best fits your travel needs. Additionally, they provide resources such as travel tips, reviews, and customer support to assist travelers in making informed decisions about your travel insurance.*

    b) A local St. Louis Travel insurance agency Altair Travel can also provide you with personal assistance by emailing or calling them.*

    c) If you have a AAA Membership or AARP Membership - each program provides members Trip Cancellation Insurance options and discounts.*

    4) WHEN SHOULD I PURCHASE COVERAGE?  It is important NOT to purchase any trip cancellation policy until your FINAL payment is made on your journey. Why? Since your monies are secured for full refund up to 45-60 days prior to your journey departure (see your trip policy), you should NOT purchase cancellation insurance prior to "final payment date".  In the event Cornerstone Travel Group LLC should cancel your trip on/prior to your final payment date (resulting from low reservations or any unforeseen event that inhibits the trip to go on our part) - most third-party travel insurance/protection plans (purchased in advance of trip final payment date) may not be refundable. Cornerstone Travel Group is not liable for any third party refunds/non-refundable policies.

    3) Need more advice or help?  Of course, we are here to help you, just email or call us

*Disclaimer: Cornerstone Travel Group LLC and it's entities list these options for your convenience. Please note that we do not endorse any of the products or services listed, nor do we receive any commission or financial benefit from them.
